Executive Summary:

Islamic Relief Pakistan’s Child Welfare Program (CWP) has been carrying out One to One (OTO) Orphans Sponsorship Programme in both rural and urban areas of AJK and Pakistan. Currently 2266 orphans are sponsored by OTO and more than 1000 orphans have already benefited from this programme since 1993. The poorest of the poor families are targeted and financially supported to assist in meeting basic necessities of life.

The sphere of benefits is not confined only to sponsored child; instead it’s stretched down to family and community levels. According to an assessment report undertaken by an IRP orphans staff, sponsored orphan families meet 40% to 80% of their household needs through IR’s sponsorship programme.
