The country strategic plan (CSP) developed as an attempt to draw the road-map and set the directions and milestones for IR Pakistan office during the coming three years. The strategy laid its foundation on three major cornerstones, they are:

1. Reinforce the collective commitment to meet IRW global Vision, Mission & Core Values
2. Indicate what we can do better as IR in Pakistan to have greater impact within our operations
3. Enhance the positioning of IR in Pakistan as a key humanitarian aid actor in the country

The current strategic plan and its direction have been driven from the following reference documentation:

• Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) global strategic plan (2007-09)
• Previous strategic plans of the country (2007-09),
• The annual review workshop held in Lahore (February 2008)
• Country Annual Report (CAR 2007)
• IRW handbook

The current strategic plan is the instrument through which we will be able to achieve the global vision, mission and core values of the organization. By working towards achieving the strategic aims and objectives there is no doubt a consolidated impact will be reached at the ground level and that is the ultimate goal of the organization in Pakistan.
