IR imparts marketable skill, distributes tool kits
Islamic Relief is implanting various projects to restore flood-hit communities across Pakistan. Through livelihood support programme, Islamic Relief imparts employable skill training to the semiskilled youth of flood-hit areas of district Nowshera.
At Institute of Rural Management (IRM), selected youth was not only trained in various disciplines but also equipped with business management, marketing and customer dealing. After successful completion of courses, certificates from Skill Development Council (SDC) were awarded to 65 youth. Tool kits were also given away to all the successful youth earn their living in different locally applicable trades i.e. electrician, plumbing and tailoring. Through acquisition of marketable skills, our right holders not only earn living but also promote social stability by becoming productive citizens.
